Nordic PropTech 2024 Finalist Presentation

In March 2024, we celebrated the 11th anniversary of Norskelysdesignere, and Maria Perdomo was invited to present a lecture on how lighting technologies are transforming! It was an excellent opportunity for Incube Lighting’s CEO to showcase how lighting technologies have been rapidly evolving and how that affects us and the architecture we build. Yesterday, directly from the Garden at OBOS Living Lab, Maria Perdomo delivered a compelling presentation of INCUBE LIGHTING to the esteemed jury of the Nordic PropTech Awards 2024. As we are positioned within the category of "Sustainable & Healthy Buildings", this occasion also provided us with an excellent opportunity to address questions from the experienced team of jurors who share our dedication to this field. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the organization for facilitating this platform. As we eagerly anticipate the results, the team is in preparation mode for the upcoming grand event in Copenhagen!

Presentation of the latest version of SKY and insights from research in Lyshagen.

On september 14th and 15th of 2023, we unveiled the latest version of SKY. PhD Architect Maria Perdomo started the day with an enlightening presentation about our system and Incube Lighting's journey. We were also honored to have residents who've been part of our research, sharing their incredible experiences over the years. To top it off, we had the opportunity to open the doors to Obos Living Lab, showcasing the technology in action in the Garden. Thanks to all the amazing people who joined us!

Scientific Article published in ACE (Architecture, City and Environment)

“Architecture, City and Environment” is a Spanish scientific magazine with a high level of impact, as Q2 . The research was conducted in Oslo inside a residential building with sunlight simulation technology and the results are shared in the article.

According to the magazine, its title seeks to reflect the open spirit of this magazine dedicated to the study of the human habitat, from its broadest perspectives, both macro and micro and in its technological and social meanings. ACE is a window for the dissemination of the different disciplines that are responsible for architectural, urban and territorial research.

2nd. International Congress of Innovation in the Architectural Project

The Ibero-American Network of Innovation in Architectural Projects (RIIPA) held the 2nd on June 21 and 22 of 2023 the International Congress of Innovation in Architectural Projects in Argentina. According to official data, during the two days, 50 papers from 10 different countries were presented: Spain, El Salvador, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Bolivia, Ecuador, Brazil, Costa Rica, Norway and of course Argentina. There were around 150 participants, both in person and virtually. In addition to the attendees from Argentina, Professor Adrián Muros from the UPC of Barcelona, co-founder of the RIIPA and partner of Incube Lighting, as well as one of the leaders of the research on the simulation of sunlight in Oslo, was present.

The Garden was nominated and won a category in the Norsk Lyspris 2022

Lyskultur is Norway's leading expertise network in light and lighting. The Norsk Lyspris is the highest honor for lighting design and lighting products in Norway. The Garden was selected for the category Open Class.The jury's reasoning: This project explores how light can affect the way we will live in the future. The project explores how an alternative way of bringing daylight into buildings can provide a completely different type of architecture and living environments for the future. The hybrid solution that combines daylight via fiber optics and artificial LED lighting provides the basis for light as an attraction and as a focal point. It gives a feeling of contact with the outside world and the natural variations that daylight provides.

Proposal selected to Oslo Architecture Triennale

“The Oslo Architecture Triennale seeks to challenge and inspire the field of architecture and planning, addressing urgent societal issues. The Triennale engages both the international community of architects, urban professionals and a local audience. They work through exhibitions, conferences, conversations, open calls, publications and events across different formats and media.”

Incube Lighting and TEL (Taller de Estudios Lum’inicos de Barcelona) team up with a winning proposal featured in the Neighborhood Index. The proposal focuses on light as a regenerating tool for the cities.
